Immediate Access to Microcap Financial Models

The Problem

A thorough model construction process is highly manual and time-consuming, often taking days to download source files, key in historical financials from discrete primary sources, link statements, validate data, and convert everything into a usable format. For microcaps in particular, where disclosures are inconsistent and data availability is limited, there is a lack of reliable tools providing clean, structured fundamental data.

The Solution

A workflow efficiency tool designed specifically for microcaps that provides immediate access to clean, consistently structured, and highly accurate financial models, allowing users to instantly download up-to-date, ready-to-use models as unlocked Excel workbooks from a growing database of North American microcap equities across sectors.

While all historical financial data and key metrics for individual companies are consolidated into a single historical data sheet, these are not simple standardized datasets. They are fully linked, dynamic models with verified historicals, built according to each company’s unique reporting standards to accurately reflect how the company operates.

  • Scratch Construction: Each model is built entirely from scratch and updated manually using data directly sourced from primary sources. Each model includes:

    • Segment reporting and key company-specific metrics

    • Income statement and adjusted results, as reported

    • Balance sheets and cash flow statements, as reported

    • Analysis, guidance, and consensus rows beneath KPIs

    • Forecasting architecture structured for quick revisions

    • Guidance tab comparing guided metrics to actuals

    • Summary tab as one-page overview of the model

  • Consistent Structure: All models are organized in a uniform layout to give users a familiar starting point and streamline their research workflow. Each model includes:

    • Historical Data: 10 years of annual and 5 years of quarterly historicals

    • Forecast Drivers: 5 years and a minimum of 4 quarters of fully linked working forecasts, with placeholder values tied to management guidance, consensus, and recent performance, meant to be edited by the user

    • Period Order: Chronological (QQQQY QQQQY) structure, with each set of hideable four quarters followed by a fiscal year column

    • Color Scheme: A standardized and intuitive formatting, with blue for historical hardcodes and forecast drivers, black for formulas, gray background for annual columns, and yellow background for forecast drivers

  • Data Integrity: Each model goes through a stringent, multi-step quality assurance and review process to ensure transferred data accuracy.

The Benefits

By combining manual data sourcing with a structured modeling framework, these pre-built, accurate, and granular models equip investors with:

  • Time Savings: Regain the time previously spent gathering, structuring, and verifying data instead of generating and researching ideas, and get a significant head start by immediately redirecting your energy toward alpha-generating activities.

  • Drivers Identification: Quickly and effectively identify all forecast drivers and metrics that impact the company’s financial performance, enabled by clear traceability across formulas and assumptions.

  • Drivers Forecasting: Easily express your views and immediately see the effects on the forecasted values of the company’s financial outputs by tweaking variables or sensitivity testing different forward-looking assumptions.

All models will be available to paid subscribers at no additional cost. Subscribers can also request new company models from an upcoming watchlist, with requests serving as a prioritization tool. By the end of 2026, the goal is to build a library of 100+ detailed models covering some of the highest-quality North American microcaps.

Individual models can be purchased separately via the following link, with initial pricing set at a per-model premium relative to the implied per-model cost of a monthly subscription.

Broadwind, Inc. (BWEN)

BWEN is a precision manufacturer of large structures, equipment, and components for energy and industrial applications. After years of lumpy performance, the company is actively diversifying away from the cyclicality of the wind energy market and toward more stable, higher-margin power generation end markets, even as visibility for strong domestic onshore wind tower activity extends through at least 2026.

As part of this shift, BWEN sold its industrial fabrication operations in Manitowoc, WI in September 2025 for $13.5M, with proceeds available for its recently announced $3M buyback program and potential debt repayment. Importantly, consolidating manufacturing capacity into its Abilene, TX facility is expected to reduce operating costs by ~$8M annually and improve asset utilization.

However, despite raising FY25 revenue guidance from $145-155M to $155-160M, the company kept its adj. EBITDA outlook unchanged at $9-10M, excluding the $8.2M gain from the Manitowoc sale. Assuming the projected cost savings are realized with no incremental increase in SG&A, and excluding potential interest savings and gross margin normalization, BWEN is currently trading at ~6x normalized FY25 adj. EBITDA.

Several themes also support the setup, including the rising global power demand from new data center installations, higher infrastructure spending, and continued industrial reshoring. Combined with strong order momentum and reduced exposure to onshore wind fluctuations from permitting delays, tariff uncertainty, and tax credit changes, the company warrants a closer look ahead of its 2026 guidance in Q4.
